Hi all I've downloaded and compiled the 2.4.4 kernel sources from Mantel's directory, but there doesn't seem to be Reiser support built in - the kernel panicked when it tried to read my boot directory. Doing a "make xconfig" showed the Reiser fs option greyed out. So, is Reiser support available in 2.4.4, and if so, what do I need to do to get it? Oh well. Back to 2.2.16 for now :-) Olly

You have to enable the prompt for development stuff. -- Mark Hounschell dmarkh@cfl.rr.com

I tried the 2.4.4 RPM from Hubert's directory on the FTP server, interestingly it's built without ReiserFS support, worth bearing in mind if you can't be bothered to build your own kernel, and you use Reiser on the root FS... -- James Ogley, Unix System Administrator, Pinnacle.Net james.ogley@pinnacle.co.uk +44 20 8731 3619 Listening to the sound of the coming rain... *********************************************************************** CONFIDENTIALITY.
