[opensuse] Barry - Blackberry Linux
Anyone successful in getting Barry - the blackberry software loader for Linux - installed? I tried downloading the sources and installing. When I try to run checkinstall after make, I get the following. /usr/bin/install -c .libs/libbarry.lai /usr/local/lib/libbarry.la /usr/bin/install -c .libs/libbarry.a /usr/local/lib/libbarry.a chmod 644 /usr/local/lib/libbarry.a chmod: changing permissions of `/usr/local/lib/libbarry.a': No such file or directory make[2]: *** [install-libLTLIBRARIES] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/kai/downloads/barry-0.12/src' make[1]: *** [install-am] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/kai/downloads/barry-0.12/src' make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1 **** Installation failed. Aborting package creation. Cleaning up...OK Bye. I also eventually found a Barry openSUSE 10.3 package source: http://packages.opensuse-community.org/index.jsp?searchTerm=barry&distro=openSUSE_103 When I install that, I get Software installation Installation was only partially successful. The following packages could not be installed barry Ideas? -- kai www.filesite.org || www.4thedadz.com || www.perfectreign.com remember - a turn signal is a statement, not a request -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Ideas?
I can send you the source rpm I made this morning. It is from yesterday's cvs checkout, though. Or maybe you just need the spec file? As I don't have a blackberry, I have no idea if the apps actually work, and you should definitely read all the documentation about barry before actually testing it. It seems like quite an experimental project, still. -- Gruß Andreas -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I'll take teh source rpm - that'd be great. I am currently running the desktop under VMWare XP.

I'll give it a go. I did kill my bb recently so I'm used to surviving a few hours without... -- kai www.filesite.org || www.4thedadz.com || www.perfectreign.com remember - a turn signal is a statement, not a request -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
