Hi, I was looking at the users that were set up as default under Suse. Who is Games and Knat, are they essential? I also noticed that they have no passwords set. Should I set passwords for all users who don't have a password? I tried to use Yast to remove Games, Empress, and Postgres. It asked me if I wanted to delete all files associated with these users, I dumbly said yes, and Yast stopped working afterwards. I had to do a quick reinstall. What is the deal with these users? Which ones are absolutely essential? And what are the security risks of not assigning a password to them? The O'reilly System's Administrator Guide dos'nt mention Games as a default installation user. I know this is a "packed question" so please at least tell me which ones Suse absolutely needs.
