I've installed acroread on my SuSE 5.3 intel system and find that it corrupts the displayed pages with both color and line artifacts. The latest acroread was also retrieved from Adobe with the same result. What am I missing here??? Any suggestions or pointers will be much appreciated. Thanks. Lance, I do think it might be your desktop color settings. What is you XF86 config like ? -Dee W.D.McKinney (Dee) deem@wdm.com Faith is acting on your passions & beliefs. - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>

I've ran Acroread at 8, 16 and 32 bit without a problem. Maybe 24 is the killer here? If nothing else, he/she should uninstall the SuSE and acroread from Adobe and reinstall from scratch.
