Hi! I installed SuSE-Linux 8.0 from FTP, installed also gcc and cpp. Installation seemed OK. Then I tried to install finnish hyphenation module for Open Office 1.0, and following happened: I wrote 'make install OODIR=/root/Open... 'and so on, and got the following complaint: 'bash: make: command not found'. So: What is wrong? What should I do to get things working?
Tapio,
if you installed the development option on your Linux, make ususally lives in /usr/bin.
Check with ls -l /usr/bin/make of it is there.
If yes, you most likely haven't included /usr/bin in your PATH.
If not, you haven't installed make and need to install it.
