Hi! I have just recieved a HP ScanJet 3400C (parallel/USB) scanner. I am wondering if it is possible to use it under Linux? I have looked over the SANE site, but they don't have it listed neither as USB or parallel, I was wondering if anyone had any success making this or some verry similar scanner to work under linux? If you have, could you please help me to do so also? THX in advance! +----and here the quote ends----+ As I allready wrote... I looked over the SANE web pages and found nothing about that type of scanner. The URL only mentions the 3200C scanner - mine is 3400C, and mine also has USB support - not just parallel like 3200C. I really hope it will work in linux (someday) since I really dislike using win :(( Bostjan -- Bo¹tjan Müller [NEONATUS], neonatus@neonatus.net, http://surf.to/NEONATUS For my PGP key finger: neonatus@neonatus.net, RSA id: 0x90178DBD, ICQ #:7506644 Celular: +386(0)41243189, Powered by S.u.S.E. AFAIK there is no support for Parallel scanners at all.
I have heard of USB scanners being trialled, but don't know of any
success yet :-(
