just try " ifconfig ppp0 down"
and then make sure the default gateway for the clint is your gateway machines internal IP 192.168.x.x
I'm terribly sorry but it's still not working. I run the command you said and then /sbin/config once again. Here is the output: lviv:/home/xso # ifconfig ppp0 down lviv:/home/xso # /sbin/ifconfig eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:40:F4:4F:40:7D inet addr:192.168.0.20 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:6 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:100 RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:360 (360.0 b) Interrupt:10 Base address:0xbc00 lo Link encap:Local Loopback inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0 UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1 RX packets:20 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:20 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:1304 (1.2 Kb) TX bytes:1304 (1.2 Kb) As you see, ppp0 is no more there. I also checked the default gateway on the client: it's the network card for the LAN on my gateway machine: 192.168.0.1. I can connect to it from the client and access the web server on the gateway. From the gateway, I can access the web. On the gateway, the config is as follow: xso@odessa:~> netstat -nr Kernel IP routing table Destination Gateway Genmask Flags MSS Window irtt Iface 217.5.98.68 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 UH 40 0 0 ppp0 192.168.2.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 UG 40 0 0 eth0 192.168.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 U 40 0 0 eth1 0.0.0.0 217.5.98.168 0.0.0.0 UG 40 0 0 ppp0 Cheers, Xavier _____________________________________________________________________ Envie de discuter en "live" avec vos amis ?
