Hi there! I am using SuSE Linux 7.1 which includes mod_auth_mysql. After quite a while, I was able to get the Apache webserver up and running with mod_auth_mysql. I followed the instructions exactly and also had a lot of surfing arount the Net but I am currently not able to get this up and running. The config may be ok and when trying to enter the realm, Apache requests the entry of username and password. This looks ok to me. But when entering a username, I am getting an error message. I have added the relevant part of my Apayhe config httpd.conf. The error in the error log is like "configuration error: couldn't check user. No user file? I am clueless on how to proceed. I have created the user_records table as indicated in the instructions. Could you please help me?
