Sound server fatal error : /tmp/mcop-prabusubroto is not owned by user.
Dear my Pals, everytime I login to NIS server from my workstation I find this error message : " Sound server fatal error : /tmp/mcop-prabusubroto is not owned by user. ". Where does it come from ? Anybody would be so kind to tell me ? I installed 2 OS on one station, they are : windows 98 and SuSE Linux 8.1 . And why is now my Desktop in KDE always connected to the Desktop of my MS Windows ? What I created as an application launcher (*.lnk) on the windows desktop will also be appeared on the desktop of my KDE. And viceversa, what I created on the desktop of my KDE will also be appeared on the desktop of my Windows (on the same station). The problem started since I chose "use current dekstop" when I logged in for the first time into NIS server from my workstation after I upgraded my SuSE Linux from 8.0 to 8.1. How can I separate the desktop of my windows and the desktop of my linux. Thank you very much in advance. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
