zaurus-sync and suse ( 8.0)
okies, guys and gals, Here is what I managed to get done w/ my setup .. start w/ qtopia desktop ( I used the rpm ) version 1.6.0 create a link on your desktop ( cause it's easier if you are juggleing a handheld toy w/ what seems like 8 miles of line attatched ) I used the ethernet card I have cause it's faster than usb, at least as far as I can see... I gave the Z an ip address , but don't get caught up in that 192.168.129.x , as near as I can make out, it may have been responsible for the USb failure to communicate w/ the Qtopia Desktop <sigh>. USe an IP that logically fits into YOUR network scheme ... Told the Qtopia desktop to sync, and no problems it did ! Alternatively , you can push the silver button on hte Z, but be certain you DO push it straight in, otherwise, it tends to attempt to start several programs , and generally creates chaos ... which , one is attemtping to avoid! It'll be LOVELY to be able to do this when the wireless card WORKS ( that's another headache . A techies "work" is NEVER done ;-) ) -- j afterthought I've got all this emotional baggage and no claim check. -SLR

Which rom version are you using? I used to sync over a lan connection, but the latest rom seems to have diabled that. Bernie Gardner
