I apologize for my somewhat terse reply re. this thread. Here is my post that was taken by Mckinney as being "whining". I fail to see any whining or dissatisfaction with SuSE in these comments. I stand by these remarks, and I stand by my belief that SuSE linux is the finest quality dist available. I do not wish to engage in any flame wars on this or any other public forum. I was just irritated when I was taken so far out of the context of my intent, and I replied defensively as is human nature. I wrote:

I don't think she/he was talking to you personally. I think it was 'thread intensive' and was more or less cut and dried 'Don't worry about fluff....just appreciate the good solid stuff that comes with the dist'...in other words Enlightenment, WM, etc are nice to have but are 'cheese and crackers' etc and subsequently unworthy of discussion. I found the mail obnoxious but didn't, like yourself, want to 'flame'. I think the point was in people suggesting some extra stuff they'd like to see in the dist so they don't need to either 1) use more than one dist or 2) spend tons of time building and modifying SuSE to include stuff they'd like to see on the CDs. I don't think anyone was complaining about the quality of SuSE Linux, which we all seem to agree is quite exceptional and the best dist there is. I'm not sure where the idea of 'whining' came from. Sounds like something that could be remedied by hitting the 'think' button before the 'send' button. She said: "You know you aren't a very good singer..." I said: "That's nothing!! Hia SuSE peoples I would suggest BlackBox window manager as yet another WM on the SuSE Distro, this wm is stable, you can put it in where KDE, fvwm2, Afterstep goes and not where Enlightenment and others go. BlackBox has a new release 0.33.0 and now is down from 64K to 60K ;) and has been fixed up even futher.. One fix: was drop-down menus from such applications as netscape after moveing them from the orignal position it appered in. Get BlackBox from <A HREF="http://linux.wiw.org/blackbox"><A HREF="http://linux.wiw.org/blackbox</A">http://linux.wiw.org/blackbox</A</A>> Now if you need anyhelp with blackbox check out my help site(seriously) <A HREF="http://www.teleport.com/~hettar/linux.html"><A HREF="http://www.teleport.com/~hettar/linux.html</A">http://www.teleport.com/~hettar/linux.html</A</A>> You will find step-by-step instructions and some config files of mine (that I use) that you can modify for yourself if your totaly lost. I am on the Beta Test list (on the BB web page and in the sources) So if you have questions visit my home site and email me. Well, sorry if I snapped. SuSE is the best Linux I've every used and I've been using Linux for a while now. I think it is evidenced by our mails that we all appreciate the work they do and that can't be stated enough. Sorry, if there was misunderstanding in that regard. Greetings,
Thanks and just to let you know ..."Dee" is my nickname, with William D. McKinney III being the birth name. No flame intended, just tired of the continuing "wish it were better" type talk. Probably my need to say "I apologise" and keep the ideas coming.
