[opensuse] smart package manager question
Hello: I am using smart package manager on openSUSE 10.3. I prefer editing the channel files directly in /etc/smart/channels. How can I force smart to reread a channel from /etc/smart/channels after I have deleted it in smart's own channel editor. I could not find an option at http://en.opensuse.org/Smart_Config. I am using smart-1.1-5.1 and smart-gui-1.1-5.1. Thanks, Istvan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I found the answer in the meantime: # smart channel --add /etc/smart/channels/*.channel -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

You might find it easier to edit smart's channels from the command-line, smart channel --edit will open smart's channels in $EDITOR or $VISUAL. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
