Yes. It's called YOU, which I think stands for YaST Online Update, and you set it up during the installation setup or you can set it up later using YaST online update utility. Seems to work pretty well.
The functionality Michael wants is achieved by setting "full automatic update" in YOU.
And unless I am confused {which I often am, but never wrong :) ] doesn't SuSE have a separate mailing list for "full automatic update" in YOU" namely: "suse-autoinstall" Discussions about auto-installation features in YaST (english) http://www.suse.de/en/private/support/online_help/mailinglists/index.html HTH Friendly greetings __________________________________________________________________ McAfee VirusScan Online from the Netscape Network. suse-autoinstall is about AutoYast2, i.e. automatic Linux installation and configuration with Yast2, it has nothing to do with updating packages on a running system. Please also see http://www.suse.com/~nashif/autoinstall/ I know of only 3 tools for automatic update in SuSE: YOU, apt, fou4s Regards, -Kastus

Thanks for all the advice! Got 9.0 ordered now and waiting for it to arrive in my grubby little hands. -Mike ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Power corrupts. Absolute power is kind of neat, though.
