Re: [SuSE Linux] Mouse right button Toshiba 300CDS

Yup - there's a fix listed in the Support Data Base.... I recall you change the name of the mouse device from .dev/cua0 to ttyS0 in rc.config - there is also a change that has to be made to the XF86Config file. I'm not in Linux at present - so can't give you more details, but its all pretty easy to find in the SDB, and will only take moments to do. This same problem meant that every time I ran suseconfig, my X windows setup wouldn't work, and I had to re-run Sax. But all fixed now.

Richard King

Johannesburg

<A HREF="http://www.channelafrica.org</FONT">http://www.channelafrica.org</FONT>

-----Original Message-----
From: Ron Lavoie <lavoie@netcom.ca>
To: suse-linux-e@suse.com <suse-linux-e@suse.com>
Date: 29 December 1998 06:21
Subject: [SuSE Linux] Mouse right button Toshiba 300CDS

I've managed to configure SuSE and X on my laptop, but I cannot get my right mouse button working. My kernel supports P/S2 and Logitech. I've tried the internal mouse an external P/S2 and a glidepoint. All work fine, except for the right button. I've tried BIOS with auto-detect and simultaneous mouse action activated. I am using 3-button emulation in the Xconfig. Any ideas?

-Ron Lavoie
