Using SuSE10.0 Retail version from Novell, FireFox 1.5. PDFs Documents only show grey screen. Following Jerry Feldmans procedure I do not find a plugin folder in /opt/MozillaFireFox folder. I find the following: nppdf.so usr/lib/browser-plugins/ Symbolic link usr/lib/firefox/plugins Symbolic Link /usr/X11R6/lib/Acrobat7/Browser/intellinux file Do I remove both the symbolic links? Also running the plugin install script says it cannot find nppdf.so. Do I need to run the script as root? I assume the howto file wants me to use /opt/ MozillaFirefox/lib as the install path. Thanks for any pointers in advance. -- Russ

I have this problem as well. Fighting other issues and have not had time to investigate why. LDB

According to their Web site, they screwed this part up (at least for the Windows versions), and they're working on it. They hope to have a fix in January. I ran /usr/X11R6/lib/Acrobat7/Browser/install_browser_plugin, and chose as the install directory of the browser as /opt/MozillaFirefox. Installer did the rest and it works. I had previously done an install and chose /home/ed/.mozilla/firefox. That also worked. Ed Harrison, Registered Linux User #199533 SuSE 10.0, Kernel 2.6.15 PolarBar Mailer 1.26
