The three lines refer to different ftp daemons. The uncommented line should match the daemon you have installed in order to use the service, or the one you wish to use if you have more than one installed. Tim

Interesting, I can ftp fine, but I became curious after seeing Alexey's comment. I looked in my /etc/inetd.conf file and found three ftp lines, one uncommented. What role do they play in my ability to use an ftp program?
