[SuSE Linux] HELP with StarOffice Key
The StarOffice registration key is killing me... I am ready to run "sosetup" so I first go to the SO website and fill out the little form and get the key mailed to me... I type in this info during sosetup and it fails.... i've tried with two different keys... Is there something tricky about this? It seems bonehead proof so I'm not sure why I'm having a problem. :-) Thanks, Rhett -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A> and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A>

Mine did that also. The first time it rejected it, then I shut it down and tried it a second time, and it took me online to get the registration key. Maybe if you are online at the install time it helps. It seems you first put in your "media key" that comes with suse. Then it takes you online to get a customer number and registration key. The newer version StarOffice501, which you need to download, has a simpler registration. -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A> and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A>

Thanks, Rhett
i think that there may actually be two numbers. Are you inserting the media key number at first which shipped with suse 6? My pattern was to insert this and then connect to the net and stardivision updated my staroffice installation. -- Michael Perry mperry@basin.com ---------------------- -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A> and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A>
