[SLE] Y2k bug in generation of wtmp?
Hi I am running SuSE 6.3 and when I do a 'last' it only outputs logins from this millenium. 'last reboot' outputs this, wtmp begins Sat Jan 1 00:33:59 2000 that is the time of my first login at new year's day. /var/log/wtmp has been deleted/regenerated at the new year's day. It this a bug or a feature? root should got an email that the old wtmp was moved to something like /var/log/wtmp-<date> because it grows to big. This has nothing to do with Y2K. It is incredibly powerful, gives terse, cryptic answers and has a lot of things going on in the background. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
