Did you install it with the - (or /) net (or something like that) option? I forget the specifics of installation, but I installed it with a _net_ option and it ran great as both root and as a user. When I first installed it I just ran the install script with no options and It worked fine for root, but it didn't work as expected as a user, so maybe your experience is similar to mine? Check out the installation procedures. There is an INSTALL file with the archive and I believe that you can ftp some additional documentation from Star Division. I don't have it installed anymore, so that's why I'm being rather cryptic, sorry. Hi, everyone!

Did anyone try to install StarOffice 4.0 on SUSE 5.2? It runs OK if I am root but hangs if run as any other user. what's going on? ideas or pointers appreciated.
