[opensuse] What mixer controls .............
I just bought a new motherboard with this sound setup: 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (ASUS + Intel ) and kmix or pavucontrol does not control it fully. So far the only option is YAST. On would think, that their is a mixer for this ...... Pavucontrol depends on alsa so you need to use alsamixer to set things up first. Install alsamixer and run it in a terminal. First thing you do is use (?)F6 to select the audio device - which will be the one of your mobo. Then go thru and select the various channels (use the "m" key to mute/unmute the channels). Once this is done kmix and pavu will start to work.
