What exactly you mean by that? localhost is just an alias for the loopback address (127.0.0.X) defined in /etc/hosts.
When I tried to use the SuSE help, Netscape kept giving me a message that it couldn't locate the localhost and wouldn't let me use the db search. That was the only 'problem' I had noticed, but I since I can't 'fix' the problem, I am a little concerned (especially since I love reading the support db in my spare time.
Does the local sdb require apache or other http server? If so, perhaps your problem is there.
