-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I'd like to get some general opinions on server hardware. What is really needed? I know i want 64 bit, and I was looking at the new amiga's, but is there any reason why I shouldn't choose a SPARC or an Alpha, or a e series or even, forgetting the cost, a G5 to handle my server needs? I don't have to support a lot of people, even with freinds and family being hosted I doubt i'll ever exceed 50 users would I be better off with a decent used server, considering my needs, and budget, and if so, which one? I do already have a p75 compaq server, but i don't want 32 bit hardware for such useage. Also, for clients. How important is the client platform? with the excetion of the mobile units, i'd like to goto diskless clients, keeping everything on the server. in this case does it really matter what the client is, performance wise?
