I'm trying to change just one feature in the kernel. Is the .config file used to build the distributed kernel available someplace? Christopher, The linux package is for the 2.2.6 kernel. The lx_suse package does not have a .config file in it. Jeff Quoting Christopher T. Beers <cbeers@bu.edu>:

On SuSE 6.1 look on CD #1 /suse/images/config the .config files are named to match the kernel you selected and have an ".ikr" extension. So, for example, if you selected the kernel scsi02 the corresponding .config file is /suse/images/config/config.scsi02.ikr Copy it to /usr/src/linux/.config -- ____________________________________________________________________ Robert Paulsen http://paulsen.home.texas.net -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
