[opensuse] dmraid with phpsysinfo?
Hey everyone! Just had a quick question - does anyone know if it's possible to query dmraid status via phpsysinfo? I know they have a plugin for mdraid, but didn't see any way to do it (tried to google it a number of different ways with no results.) I'd post to the forums on sourceforge, but apparently they're having issues because I keep getting HTTP 500 errors. This is the output of my dmraid results if it helps any: dmraid -s *** Group superset .ddf1_disks --> Active Subset name : ddf1_DATA size : 488019072 stride : 128 type : mirror status : ok subsets: 0 devs : 2 spares : 0 Thanks much! Any reason you use dmraid instead of mdadm for DDF?

Basically, because the array is built with an Adaptec fakeraid "controller," so mdadm doesn't report any info on it: cat /proc/mdstat Personalities : unused devices: mdadm --detail /dev/mapper/ddf1_DATA mdadm: /dev/mapper/ddf1_DATA does not appear to be an md device Chris

mdadm supports DDF based fakeraid
so mdadm doesn't report any info on it:
Of course it does not report anything because you did not use it to bring up array. Anyway I guess it is too late to change now.
cat /proc/mdstat
Personalities :
unused devices:

mdadm: /dev/mapper/ddf1_DATA does not appear to be an md device
