Hello All, I have an HP Pavillion 6355 upon which I have installed SuSE 8.1. Everything goes fine during install, but when I boot up I no longer have a mouse. The cursor won't move at all and none of the mouse buttons click on anything. I have tried the original PS/2 mouse, a Logitech 3 button serial mouse and an USB mouse. None work. Can someone please help me out here? I am not a newbie to Linux and I have installed this same disks on a Gateway Machine at work. Everything works fine there. You can email me at bassman@sdf.lonestar.org or at Gregory.Dickinson@colorado.edu. Thanks. bassman@sdf.lonestar.org SDF Public Access UNIX System - http://sdf.lonestar.org "Jazz is not dead, it just smells funny." Frank Zappa
Hello again. I screwed up and the machine is a Pavillion 6330. I have also tried editing the config file (XFConfig, or something close to that, I have it written down at home). The mouse works fine during installation as I said but also when I boot in safe mode (i.e., text mode) Is this a problem with as interrupt? Has anybody else had this problem? Thanks for any help you all can give me. bassman@sdf.lonestar.org SDF Public Access UNIX System - http://sdf.lonestar.org "Jazz is not dead, it just smells funny." Frank Zappa
