Re: [SLE] linux and juno email

hey is there a way to check a juno email account with linux? i have several accounts and i hate rebooting winders just to check them? when i put in the mail server name and email address and password it tells me the mail server is unavailable... is this because juno checks my machine for the adds ect...?????
Juno does not use standard POP3 or IMAP mail servers. Juno makes their money by forcing you to look at adds in their proprietary software. Since there isn't even a Juno client for the Macintosh (or wasn't, the last time I checked), you'll probably never see one for Linux, either. I ran Juno 4 from within WINE once over my cablemodem connection, and it almost worked. Perhaps WINE will be the most efficient option down the road, but for now rebooting or VMWare are the only reasonable methods. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Or you could get a real ISP instead of a spam-master. There are some companies that automatically reject all incoming mail from juno.com, because of the very high percentage of it that is spam. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
