[SLE] Unable to install from DVD
Greetings! I just bought the Linux Starter Kit om DVD from my local Borders store. Following the instructions, I insert the DVD and reboot the machine. It just comes back up in Windows. Using Exploror I can see directories and files on the DVD but no manual "setup" icon. Any ideas what the problems might be? Thanks! Doug

Doug, Check your BIOS settings. I'd guess they're set to boot from the hard disk before the CD/DVD. Reverse that and you should be OK. At the risk of insulting your intelligence, you did set the computer to boot from the DVD and not from the hard drive, right? Yes it was but it still boots from the hard drive. I noticed that if during the boot process I hit ESC I get a menu of boot sources.
