[opensuse] printer problem or?
Hello :-) I have a strange printer problem. I setup cups to retry the print if the printer is shut down. when I lauch a print and only then notice the printer is stopped,I switch it on, the printer prints a line of numbers (like 01359e165....) then a handfull of blank sheets and stops. I than can print normally good prints. looks like the printer eats some code at boot. It's a laserjet5m from HP (networked) any solution? thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://clairedodin.voices.com/ http://www.clairedodin.com/ http://claire.dodin.net/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Looks like cups did NOT retry, or it Retried without waiting for the printer to come back on line. What you see is typical for when a printer loses the first buffer full of info because its off, and the test of the print job waits in the queue till the printer raises CTS again when powered back on. -- ----------JSA--------- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
