Thanks but that isn't it. Ldconfig is used to set up the path to the system libraries. I didn't load a new library for mutt so no need for ldconfig. Just for kicks tey this: ldconfig -v > my.libs That will put a list of all your system libraries in my.libs. Also take a look at /etc/ld.so.conf. If you happen to add a lib and ldconfig doesn/t find it, add the path to that new lib to ld.so.conf and run ldconfig again. Now your cooking! Also do man ldconfig for all the REAL scoop.
