Re: [SLE] Kernal config in X
I think I might know what your problem is. First, are you in the /usr/src directory? Second, check this directory for a file called Makefile. (This is of course dependant on whether the kernel sources are in the /usr/src directory. If not, then insert directory where they are located in the appropriate place in the above sentence.) As far as I know, whenever you get that error when using 'make', it means there's no Makefile or config file or something of the sort. I have both installed and still can not get the command "make xconfig" to work. Here's what happens: --bash-2.03# make menuconfig --make: *** No rule to make target `menuconfig'. Stop. --bash-2.03# It says this when I run "make menuconfig". I know I'm doing something extremely stupid, but for some reason, I can't think of it right now... thanks, Justin Bauer Southern Methodist University -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/ -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
