[SLE] upgrade to kde2
I have a question,before I do something wrong.I have upgrade my SuSE 6.3 to 6.4,by FTP-server.Right now,I want to get KDE2 to work.I have read that i first need to make a directory,and so on.But my question is,if I take this upgrades,by rpm,would it work? Will everything be right at once,or do I need to build it by my own? Thanks for some advice! If you mean the beta KDE2 than you have the option to get the binary rpm and correct me if I am wrong there are KDE 1.90 binaries for SuSE you may want to check the www.kde.org web iste to have a better understanding. Question will it work well this is beta release 1 (KDE 1.90) till Sepmtember every four weeks there will be another KDE 1.9x version rill everything will be frozen. It is upto you to play with it every four weeks. There are SuSE rpms at the kde ftp sites. That last I saw, they had kde-1.90 up, but they recently released 1.91. It depents how experanced you are. But also with the rpm's it takes some hand work. And it does still have a few bugs, eventough it look very nics.
