[opensuse] tumbleweed update from 20190403 to 20190409 qemu-kvm windows-xp guest did not start
Hi, update tumbleweed from 20190403 to 20190409 try to start with virt-manager qemu-kvm windows xp professionel guest. was running without problems before, now windows did not boot, not in save mode. always falling back to the windows screen where i could choose save mode or start normal. what must i change that it will start again? thanks, simooN -- www.becherer.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
By the way, a suse 10.2 guest is starting fine. so what has changed? i do not see a qemu update in the anouncement of 20190408 or 20190409 simoN -- www.becherer.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
Ok, i found that it has to do with the kernel update. kernel 5.0.6-1-default will not boot qemu with windows xp guest (from update 20180408) but previous kernel from update 20180403 5.0.5-1-default will boot qemu with windows xp guest i see a pug report: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1131894 because i do not understand that, is this the related problem, or should i open a new bug? addressed to whom? and did anybody know when it is fixed, because i could not update anymore until newer kernel again run with quemu win-xp guests simoN -- www.becherer.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
Hi again, tumbleweed update 20190409 to 20190412 brings new kernel: 5.0.7-1-default will not solve the problem. because nobody answers here, i file a bug report, https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1132694 simoN Am 12.04.19 um 08:15 schrieb Simon Becherer:
