RE: [SuSE Linux] locate not working
But to expand on this, I have had the cron update my db regularly but it would thne only contain my non-linux partitions. I would then do an updatedb --localpaths=/ --prunepaths="/tmp /var/tmp" ...etc. Bu tafter a while I would be left with just the non-linux partitions again. sounds to me like a permissions problem or something...am I close? -----Original Message----- From: Lenz Grimmer [mailto:grimmer@suse.de] Sent: Tuesday, November 10, 1998 3:26 PM To: suse Subject: Re: [SuSE Linux] locate not working Hi, On Tue, 10 Nov 1998, dizzy wrote:

Try "updatedb" instead, this will create the database.
