Hi
I have own 486DX4 with 16MB ram and ethernet via full TCPIP but no CDROM. I am a new to learn SuSe this list. I'm doing using NFS via FTP to install a harddisc. using boot-disk then I configure my ethernet, everything is ok. select NFS network via ftp.gwdg.de where to get in /pub/linux/suse/5.1/ suse/setup directory . I want to install the source into a hard disc from SuSe FTP site. it went wrong.
NFS network says An error occurred while trying to mount the nfs directory. Reason given by Server: Permission denied.
What does that mean?
I was stuck with getting SuSe packages to install my local harddisc via FTP from DOS prompt. I thought I cant getting the SuSe files but I need to get SuSe 5.1 installation with permission. How?
If you have a direct connection to the Internet, you do not need to ftp anything, you cann chose linux01.gwgd.de as NFS server and mount the install directory directly from there. Use linux01.gwdg.de as server and /suse/5.1/ as path.
