I tried installing cups, used kups, qtcups and xpp, none had anything to correct my alignment problems. The Cups test page shows the "imageable Area" with the numbers, but I could not find anything in /etc/cups that contained these numbers for editing. There must be another configuration file that contains these settings but I can't find it. I need to move everything to the right and down a bit.
What configuration file controls the printer alignment?
Hi Joe, As far as I'm aware the page size is held in the ppd file under /etc/cups/ppd subdirectory. I suggest that you create a backup copy of your printers ppd file and have a look thru the file for *ImageableArea and have a fiddle with the numbers associated with your paper size. This is a rough guess, so don't hold me to it. Regards, Graham Smith gqsmith@fastmail.fm ----------------------------------------------------------------------
