[SLE] Memory leak in PCMCIA ethernet driver ?
I'm having trouble with a laptop with a Grey Cell Etherne II Gold card. I'm using SuSE6.2 with a 2.2.12 kernel I'm trying to copy a lot of files to an NFS server, and after 10-20Mb the laptop hangs... Anyone else seen this ? Ok, SuSE Linux 6.2 is shipped with linux 2.2.10. If you have 2.2.12, you have replaced the kernel and you must have replaced the pcmcia modules, because our are build for 2.2.10. Do you have the same problems if you use our original kernel binary and our pcmcia modules ?

No, I can copy 2 or 3 CDs between my notebook and my server without problems. In the Subject you speak about a memory leak, now you say your laptop hangs. What is true ? Have you checkd with top or free that your kernel is really eating your memory ? I doubt that there is a memory leak, I think you have a interrupt conflict. Please check all your interrupts, maybe your PCMCIA card uses the same interrupt as your serial device or your sound driver ?
