[opensuse] restart a print job?
(openSUSE 10.1) I have often the problem than a printer is stopped when I launch a print, of course it don't print :-) the IPP report say "printer stopped" but switching on the printer (USB) don't change anything, it still don't print... what can I do? thanks -- http://www.dodin.net http://gourmandises.orangeblog.fr/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I got the same with a parallel connected printer. You can use /usr/bin/enable enable(8) - don't use the bash builtin to start the printer With OS10.2 the command is cupsenable. Check out "man lppasswd" first. Then, as root, do lppasswd -a -g sys some-user-name-could-be-root a long password a long password Now fire up your browser, goto http://localhost:631 and try managing your printer(s). When prompted for username and password, use the set you just defined. ok? -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Med venlig hilsen/Best regards Verner Kjærsgaard -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
