Hello, I recently upgraded from SuSE 7.3 to 9.0 ( by formatting disk and installing 9.0 so no real upgrade!). I used to watch TV with my Hauppauge WinTV on xawrv. Under SuSE 7.3 I could press F and had a complete TV picture with only the KDE Menu bar shown (which could be slided to the side). There was no window frame no background to see any more. But now under SuSE 9.0 xawtv does not react when I press the F-Button and I cannot expand the tv window beyond a certain size by clicking on the expand window box (but this size is nearly the whole screen in 1280x1024 so I imagine a total overlay should be possible ie. no 768x576 limit). I know that I have to load v4l in my XF86config and something has to be done in the .xawtv file in my home directory. I thought keeping the old file should do the trick, but it did not... -- Sieht gut aus...schade und ich hatte noch so viele gute Ideen! Don't summon anything bigger than your head!

At least, it does with me. Check the archives, there are a couple of posts about this -- Kind regards Hans du Plooy hansdp@newingtoncs.co.za
