The Acrobat Reader plugin is still a libc5 binary, while Netscape is glibc2. Therefore it cannot load the plugin... You need to start the external Acrobat Reader, if you want to display PDF files. Couldn't you use Navigator 3.x if you really really needed acrobat to work with netscape? It's libc5 right? rimez -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
I haven't tried this yet myself, but the SuSE Support Database addresses this issue. The title of the article is: Acrobat Plug-In for Netscape Communicator 4.5 The problem is that both the Acrobat Reader and the plugin are based on libc5. There is a detailed solution given. Alan rimez wrote:

The reason i thought this might work (for whoever posted the original:-) was because navigator 3.x is libc5. I'll bet it works. Unfortunately I don't have it (3.x) installed so i can't say for sure. Of course 3.x is probally not going to run very well on 6.1 (it's glibc). Oh well. Just trying to help :-) rimez
