DHCP is already running on eth0?
Decided to reload Suse 9.2 on my IBM and when it tried to test the Internet connection it failed with the message "DHCP is already running on eth0" The setup is a nic to a Motorola wired & wireless router to a DSL modem. What do I need to do about the DHCP - eth0 conflict? Thanks! dmc -- ___________________________________________________________ Sign-up for Ads Free at Mail.com http://promo.mail.com/adsfreejump.htm

As root do an ifconfig and see if eth0 already has an IP address. If not, do an ifdown-dhcp and then an ifup-dhcp and see if an IP gets assigned. Ed Harrison SuSE 9.1, Kernel 2.6.9-vanilla PolarBar Mailer 1.25a
