Yast2 Install & Remove software module crash
In SuSE 9.0 yast's 'install and remove software' module (the graphical version) crashes when I scroll up or down. Maybe (I suppose) it's bound up with 'enable gui effects' in KDE control center (maybe Menu effect > fade causes the problem). PS In 8.2 there was the same problem, but yast2 freezed Xfree - only the cursor was moving. I had to switch to console and `killall -9 y2base`, than return to Xfree. Alex Khroustalev

Is this an out of the box problem or have you upgraded anything lately(like yast or XFree)? I hate to do this but it's working fine on my machine, upgraded with apt. I use a heavily edited sources.list though. -- E.F.Maurer Using SuSE 9.0 Pro
