Re: [opensuse] How to obtain 32 bit firefox?
----- Original Message ---- From: Simon Roberts <thorpflyer@yahoo.com> ... I'm trying to get a 32 bit firefox (to support flash), I failed to see how to do this using YAST, and am looking into doing it manually. However, whenever I go to the firefox site, it seems to insist on giving me the 64 bit version for download. How can I force it to let me have a 32 bit version? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- More confused now. I installed the file I downloaded into /opt/firefox. I run /opt/firefox/firefox and ask for help firefox. It says this is i686 (x86_64). But, if I ask "file /opt/firefox/firefox-bin" it says "ELF 32 bit". What's happening!? TIA Very confused, Simon -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

cer@nimrodel:~> which firefox /usr/bin/firefox if you get a similar result, it means that "/usr/bin/firefox" is the one that executes, not the one in opt. You may be running the one in /opt but the help in /usr. Who knows. Run "ps afx|less" to learn what binaries you are really running. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
