Well, I got 11.0 as a gift after my attempt to order failed (aparently because I don't have a phone number). Now I don't see any way to get 11.1. I'm waiting to see if Cheapbytes will offer 11.1. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

rday Yeah, but mine is for an office, and the tax guy wants receipts and he's only happy w/ things that come from a 3rd party. I do not wish to disappoint, cuz then I could spend hours wading thru logs trying to recreate stuff... it's a mess.

Won't the tax guy let you download free stuff? What's to stop you from buying some blank DVDs and burning your own? Last I heard, stores issues receipts when you buy blank media. -- Use OpenOffice.org http://www.openoffice.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

He probably means, "... only people willing to give out their phone numbers in order to buy the product" can complete the ordering process. It really annoys me when I can't buy something without providing a phone number, as the only one I have is for my cell phone. I don't want any sales calls during business hours, while I'm debugging a complex piece of code. Usually a commercial web site will include a phone number for sales calls, and few if any input validation routines will flag it as bogus. Let 'em call themselves. If they really have a valid reason to contact me, I'm hoping that they'll give up and use the email address I provided. I can deal with that when it's a good time for me. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Do they do callback verification? If not, just use a bogus number. If you want to take it a step further, lookup Novell's number and input that. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
