hey all, i have a question, i did an online update, and i was playin in the update areas, i wasnt sure about the update system one where you need the CD in the Cd tray, so i ran that, it showed everything i had installed and i chose the not install new software option and i guess there were no updates available so i clicked on abort because my system was up to date and it said if you do abort suse Linux will not be installed, make no changes, so thats my first question, is that ok? i had never did this option before (choosing it) but i think it should be ok because it said no changes were made, ao i was like ok and did the online update, there were no patches available (im up to date) so i selected next and it started writing configuration like it does after every update, was just curiouse why it needed to write the configuration when there were no updates downloaded or installed. TY in advance:) -- Kill the lights, let the candles burn behind the pumpkins’ mischievous grins, And let the skeletons dance. Ahhhh...! I'm out of breath :-) I think you tried to use the option to "upgrade" the system, like from suse 8.0 to 8.1. Just abort, and ignore the silly message about linux will not be installed. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
