[SLE] dvd::rip dependencies for SuSE10.0/x86_64
Hi, I'm trying to install Video-DVDRip from packman's repo. Unfortunately it is build to require rar.rpm, and I can not find it anywhere for 64bit. Any Ideas where to find it? I find 32 bit version, I can find 64 bit for 9.x, but not for 10.0. Thanks -- -- Svetoslav Milenov (Sunny) Windows is a 32-bit extension to a 16-bit graphical shell for an 8-bit operating system originally coded for a 4-bit microprocessor by a 2-bit company that can't stand 1 bit of competition. -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

Thanks Patrick, I found a source rpm here: http://anorien.csc.warwick.ac.uk/mirrors/suse-apt/10.0-x86_64/SRPMS.packman/ then: # http://anorien.csc.warwick.ac.uk/mirrors/suse-apt/10.0-x86_64/SRPMS.packman/ # rpm -Uvh /usr/src/packages/RPMS/x86_64/rar-3.5.1-0.pm.1.x86_64.rpm Now dvd::rip can be installed. Now dvd::rip can be installed. If you check, you will find that rar is not provided in source form, only unrar. If your package really did need the rar package, it still may not work, even though the rpm requirement is met. rar is only
