[opensuse] OpenSuSE 10.2 missing vncconfig?
Xvnc's "man" page says vncconfig is a necessary companion to vncserver/Xvnc: -SendCutText Send clipboard changes to clients (default is on). Note that you must also run vncconfig(1) to get the clipboard to work. -AcceptCutText Accept clipboard updates from clients (default is on). Note that you must also run vncconfig(1) to get the clipboard to work. ...But, vncconfig doesn't exist in any of the vnc RPM's??? I've never used vncconfig and I've never had any problems with vncviewer or server. It seems that an alternative to vncconfig is to pass the parameter via the command line or through the xorg config file. I've never tried it, but I'd give the command line a try. From man Xvnc. PARAMETERS VNC parameters can be set both via the command-line and through the vncconfig(1) program, and with a VNC-enabled XFree86 server via Options entries in the XF86Config file. -- David C. It looks like the culprit is TightVNC: they don't include vncconfig in their package either (I know RHEL uses TightVNC and has vncconfig too... so RH figured it out). I built just vncconfig from the RealVNC package, and run that with TightVNC (server) in OpenSuSE, and cut-and-paste now works w/ VNC. On Nov 27, 2007 6:02 PM, Chris Worley <worleys@gmail.com> wrote:
