I note that 'sash' is dynamically linked, even though the manpage says: Sash should obviously be linked statically, otherwise its purpose is lost. ---- I seem to remember an alternate libc implementation that can allow static linking. It is a recovery shell -- as such, it wouldn't try to contact any daemons or network services.
