[SuSE Linux] Re: Masq modules
Ok I try to install the icq masq module. I went to the site to download it. I read the README and it said I need ipportfw. I went to the follwing site: <A HREF="http://www.monmouth.demon.co.uk/ipsubs/portfw-2.0.30.html"><A HREF="http://www.monmouth.demon.co.uk/ipsubs/portfw-2.0.30.html</A">http://www.monmouth.demon.co.uk/ipsubs/portfw-2.0.30.html</A</A>> I read the page and they said I needed to recompile the kernel with ipportfw for masq. I did so. I downloaded the two files for my 2.0.35 kernel. Then I did: cd /usr/src/linux zcat subs-patch-1.37.gz | patch -p1 --->went ok. Compile the configuration utility: gcc ipportfw.c -o ipportfw chmod a+x ipportfw But where actually was I supposed to compile the ipportfw.c??? I did reboot but bash: ipportfw not a known command I guess my ipportfw is not working but why? Maybe this is while I can't do the #insmod ip_masq_icq.o unresolved symbol: ip_portfw_add unresolved symbol: ip_portfw_del unresolved symbol: ip_portfw_lookup Any clues how to resolv the ipportfw problem and may that hold my icq from being inserted as module? Thanks, Marcel
Hi,
I was working the last days to create a IP masqing box.
I succeeded and I can surf and so forth.
my setup:
|<--->win | ISP<---->SuSE<---->Hub<--->|<--->win | |<--->win
Now I use the following programs on my win machines.
ICQ, VDOPhone 3.5, Speakfreely (www.speakfreely.org)
All work one way.
I can start them and my partner on the other side in the Internet can receive either my online status, my video capture, my voice.
I can't receive anything.
Now I got SuSE 3.5 and it has the modules automatically included:
ip_masq_ftp ip_masq_raudio ip_masq_irc ip_masq_vdolive
Correct?
I do 'lsmod' and they appear loaded. Shouldn't at least VDOPhone work?
Anybody have speakfreely to work? Any tips on the ICQ module?
Thanks,
Marcel
