After a recent update the system cannot boot in graphical mode. The Xorg log file says [ 312.895] (EE) ioctl EVIOCGNAME failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device [ 312.899] (II) UnloadModule: "evdev" [ 312.899] (EE) PreInit returned NULL for "ImPS/2 Generic Wheel Mouse" The xorg.comf section is Section "InputDevice" # generated from data in "/etc/sysconfig/mouse" Identifier "Mouse0" Driver "mouse" Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2" Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice" Option "Emulate3Buttons" "yes" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" EndSection This config always worked well. Under root X loads well. If to manually force init 5 also loads well.
