Windoze Resolved-Kate
Thanks Dylan that did it. Open File Manager-Super User mode and then Open the file "with" Kate. Kate at a shell prompt or sh kate or ./kate however do not work on my default configuration. Doug

I meant simply type 'kate' in the console - since the program file is in a directory specified in your PATH, the console will find it and execute it. 'sh kate' tries to execute a script, but kate is a binary executable. './kate' specifies to execute the program from the current directory, but kate is unlikely to be there.
